Wouldn’t this have privacy implications that are beyond the scope of what Apple is willing to do? I mean, I can picture Google offering something like this before Apple even agrees it’s a good idea.

For Apple to ship me a phone with all my information inside is to admit they have, on their servers, every single piece of information that’s on my current device, down to the minuscule. I, for one, am glad they don’t.
